Become an Adventure Diver!
If you only have limited time, the Adventure Diver course is another option for pursuing new interests. Where the Advanced Open Water course requires five specialty dives, the Adventure Diver course only requires three. From Peak Performance Buoyancy to Fish ID, the options are entirely up to you.
The best part about this course is that your specialities count towards your Advanced Open Water training should you decide to do that course at a later stage.
Who Should Take This Course?
The Adventure Diver course is a subset of the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course. If you’ve already taken a specialty diver course, ask your instructor if you’ve earned credit for an Adventure Dive.
Junior Open Water Divers that want to take the next step may enrol on an Adventure Diver course – however, age restrictions apply to certain Adventure Dives. If you have any questions related to this course you are welcome to contact us for any information.
What Will I Learn?
Choose your Adventure Dives based on your personal interests.
Need to work on your buoyancy skills? Try the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive. Want to know more about the plants and animals that inhabit the underwater world?
Try the AWARE – Fish Identification or Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dives. Your instructor will teach you the theory you need to know for each course before you get in the water.
Try the Photographic Speciality Course if you have an interest in learning how to take stunning underwater photos with your new equipment.
What Scuba Gear Will I Use?
As well as the basic scuba equipment you used on previous courses, you’ll learn to use specialised gear depending on the Adventure Dives you choose. For example, if you sign up for a Search & Recovery Adventure Dive, you’ll learn how to use a lift bag; while those that choose the Underwater Photography Adventure Dive will learn how to operate an underwater camera. All equipment will be provided unless yu prefer to use your own gear.
