First Aid and CPR are excellent skills for anyone to have, especially if you are involved in adventure sports. Moreover, this course is a compulsory step towards becoming a PADI Rescue Diver. Emergency First Response is a PADI affiliate that specialises in teaching these lifesaving skills.
What Will I Learn in the EFR?
- BLS (Basic Life Support), CPR and rescue breathing at the layperson level
- Preventing and caring for shock
- Spinal injury management
- Use of barriers to reduce disease transmission risk
- Basic first aid and first aid kit considerations
What Study Materials Will I Need?
Our EFR crew-pack includes a Primary and Secondary Care Manual, which previews emergency scenarios and provides step-by-step skill demonstrations. Please ensure you bring your crew-pack with you every time you come to the dive shop. If you prefer visual learning, there’s also an EFR DVD available for purchase in-store.
What’s Next For Me?
After completing your EFR course, you should think about becoming a PADI Rescue Diver. Are you ready to learn how to react calmly and efficiently in emergency situations?
